Brendan was born and raised in Grahamstown, South Africa, and came to Canada in 2013 to complete his studies in veterinary medicine at WCVM in Saskatoon. Prior to that, Brendan received his Bachelor of Science at the University of Pretoria and went on to do his first years of veterinary medicine at St. George’s University. After completing his clinical year in Saskatoon, Brendan joined a small animal practice in southern Alberta, where he and his wife lived and worked for three years. They returned to South Africa in 2018 to complete their licensing with the South African Veterinary Council, where he worked as a State vet, doing rural and wildlife medicine.
Brendan is an avid birder, fisherman and wildlife enthusiast. He plans to return to his hometown one day to assist the local community and spend more time fishing!
